Complimentary Return

We want every Monlisse piece to feel just right. If not, we offer one complimentary return per order within 14 days of delivery.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be returned in pristine, unused condition, with original packaging and tags intact.
  • Bespoke or personalised items are non-refundable.
  • Once your return is received and inspected by our warehouse, your refund will be processed within 20 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Our personalisation service allows you to make your Monlisse handbags and small leather goods truly one of a kind.

Choose from capital letters or symbols, available in elegant gold or silver foil.

Lifetime Warranty & Aftercare

Coverage

  • This warranty applies to authentic Monlisse products purchased through official channels (our website or authorised partners).
  • “Lifetime” refers to the product’s reasonable service life under normal use, which varies by material and usage frequency.

Free Warranty (Manufacturing Defects)

If a functional issue is caused by a manufacturing or material defect (e.g., broken stitching, hardware detachment, structural failure, adhesive failure):

  • We will repair or replace the item at no charge (at Monlisse’s discretion).
  • Round-trip shipping is covered by Monlisse.
  • If the original material/colour is unavailable, we may offer an equivalent alternative.

Wear, Damage, or Misuse (Non-Defect Issues)

If the issue results from use or external factors (see Section 4), Monlisse can still assist with paid repairs where feasible:

  • We will repair to the best possible standard and share a clear quote in advance.
  • Round-trip shipping is paid by the customer.
  • Minor color/finish variation or faint marks may remain after restoration and are considered normal post-repair characteristics.

Not Covered as Free Warranty (Examples)

  • Normal wear and tear, natural aging and patina (e.g., leather creasing, edge-paint softening, mild hardware oxidation).
  • Accidental or improper use: scratches, dents, punctures, overloading, deformation, or breakages caused by force.
  • Exposure to unsuitable substances or conditions: soaking/rain, mold, alcohol/cleaners/chemicals, dye transfer (including from dark garments).
  • Storage in high heat, direct sunlight, or damp environments causing warping, fading, or adhesive failure.
  • Unauthorised repair or modification.
  • Gift items and non-product components (e.g., complimentary charms, packaging) are not covered.

How to Request Service

  1. Submit a request: Contact Customer Care with your order details, issue description, and clear photos/videos.
  2. Initial assessment: We’ll confirm whether it’s a manufacturing defect and advise shipping responsibility, feasibility, and next steps.
  3. Send-in & repair: Ship as instructed (remove personal items and pack securely).
  4. Quality check & return: We inspect post-repair and ship your item back.

Tip: Keep your shipping receipt and consider shipping insurance where appropriate.

  • Manufacturing defect: Round-trip shipping covered by Monlisse.
  • Use-related issues: Round-trip shipping covered by the customer.
  • Cross-border shipments may incur duties/clearance fees per local regulations, potentially payable by the sender.

Important Notes

  • A repair or replacement does not extend the overall “lifetime” concept, but repaired areas will be re-validated against our quality standards.
  • Leather is a natural material; grain, minor marks, and subtle color variations are inherent and not quality defects.
  • Monlisse reserves the final determination of “manufacturing defect” and “reasonable service life” based on objective evaluation and industry practice.

Legal Notice (Australia)

This warranty does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product fails with a major fault, you are entitled to a replacement or refund and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Product Care

Your Monlisse piece is crafted from the finest full-grain leather, chosen for its natural elegance and enduring strength. To ensure it ages beautifully by your side, we recommend the following care:

Storage

  • When not in use, keep your bag in its original dust bag, stored upright and away from direct sunlight, heat, or humidity.
  • Gently fill the interior with acid-free tissue, a soft cloth, or a pillow insert to help retain its silhouette over time.
  • Always store handles and straps in a relaxed position to avoid bending or distortion.

Daily Use

  • Refrain from carrying items that may overstretch or distort the leather, lining, or handles.
  • Avoid contact with dark or untreated fabrics to prevent colour transfer, especially on light-coloured leathers.
  • Keep away from makeup, hand cream, and perfume, which may leave permanent marks.

Cleaning

  • If your bag comes into contact with water or dirt, blot gently with a clean, dry, light-coloured cloth to absorb it and allow it to air dry naturally. Pat gently, never rub, and never apply heat.
  • Use only a soft, dry cloth for routine cleaning. Avoid soaps, creams, alcohol, waterproofing sprays, or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • Clean, dry hands help preserve the leather’s purity and touch.

Preservation

  • Natural oils and residues may alter the leather finish; with time, your Monlisse piece may soften or develop a subtle patina—a hallmark of true leather craftsmanship.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may change the tone or texture of the leather.
