Lifetime Warranty & Aftercare

Coverage

  • This warranty applies to authentic Monlisse products purchased through official channels (our website or authorised partners).
  • “Lifetime” refers to the product’s reasonable service life under normal use, which varies by material and usage frequency.

Free Warranty (Manufacturing Defects)

If a functional issue is caused by a manufacturing or material defect (e.g., broken stitching, hardware detachment, structural failure, adhesive failure):

  • We will repair or replace the item at no charge (at Monlisse’s discretion).
  • Round-trip shipping is covered by Monlisse.
  • If the original material/colour is unavailable, we may offer an equivalent alternative.

Wear, Damage, or Misuse (Non-Defect Issues)

If the issue results from use or external factors (see Section 4), Monlisse can still assist with paid repairs where feasible:

  • We will repair to the best possible standard and share a clear quote in advance.
  • Round-trip shipping is paid by the customer.
  • Minor color/finish variation or faint marks may remain after restoration and are considered normal post-repair characteristics.

Not Covered as Free Warranty (Examples)

  • Normal wear and tear, natural aging and patina (e.g., leather creasing, edge-paint softening, mild hardware oxidation).
  • Accidental or improper use: scratches, dents, punctures, overloading, deformation, or breakages caused by force.
  • Exposure to unsuitable substances or conditions: soaking/rain, mold, alcohol/cleaners/chemicals, dye transfer (including from dark garments).
  • Storage in high heat, direct sunlight, or damp environments causing warping, fading, or adhesive failure.
  • Unauthorised repair or modification.
  • Gift items and non-product components (e.g., complimentary charms, packaging) are not covered.

How to Request Service

  1. Submit a request: Contact Customer Care with your order details, issue description, and clear photos/videos.
  2. Initial assessment: We’ll confirm whether it’s a manufacturing defect and advise shipping responsibility, feasibility, and next steps.
  3. Send-in & repair: Ship as instructed (remove personal items and pack securely).
  4. Quality check & return: We inspect post-repair and ship your item back.

Tip: Keep your shipping receipt and consider shipping insurance where appropriate.

Shipping & Duties

  • Manufacturing defect: Round-trip shipping covered by Monlisse.
  • Use-related issues: Round-trip shipping covered by the customer.
  • Cross-border shipments may incur duties/clearance fees per local regulations, potentially payable by the sender.

Important Notes

  • A repair or replacement does not extend the overall “lifetime” concept, but repaired areas will be re-validated against our quality standards.
  • Leather is a natural material; grain, minor marks, and subtle color variations are inherent and not quality defects.
  • Monlisse reserves the final determination of “manufacturing defect” and “reasonable service life” based on objective evaluation and industry practice.

Legal Notice (Australia)

This warranty does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product fails with a major fault, you are entitled to a replacement or refund and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
